For those of you that have been looking to get away to the Island of Jamaica, but can't afford an all-inclusive resort or just do not want to be locked up in a resort 'compound', this may be the perfect place for you in paradise.
Our condos are located near the center of picturesque Ocho Rios on the North Shore of Jamaica, and the condos offer a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. This is the view I fell in love with.... and it 'forced' me to buy the first apartment. This picture was taken from our veranda which is only 50 feet from the Caribbean Sea.
Accommodations include 2 bedrooms in Apt 306 (2 double beds - up to 5 people), 1 bedroom in 307 (King Size Bed - up to 3 people), one full bath in each, a full kitchen (see 306's below), living room and veranda opening up to beautiful gardens which you can see above. Included in rentals are linens, towels, dishes, kitchen utensils, electricity, hot water, and daily maid service. Kitchen appliances include a refrigerator, electric stove/oven and a microwave oven, drip coffee maker (for the famous and exquisite Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee), stereo AM/FM cassette clock radio (pre-tuned to IRIE-FM 105.5FM, "Reggae Radio", prior to your arrival), and an electric can opener. Bedrooms are air conditioned for your comfort during the humid times of year, but most times, the cool tradewinds, combined with quality ceiling fans keep you as comfortable as you would like.
This is a picture taken about 20 feet from the front door just past the parking lot (where you can 'safely' park a rental car). In the backgroundof the photo, you can just barely see the walkways which wind toward a restaurant (closed for renovations as of 1-Dec-1998) and the beach. We also provide authorized discount coupons to our guests for excellent restaurants and service companies in the area.
This picture was taken at the entrance to the beach which is about 100 yards from the front door. The building in the background across the waters is the North Tower of Jamaica Grande which was formerly Americana Hotel and Mallards Beach Hotel. A very quiet place to relax, soak up the sunshine and read a book, or go snorkeling on the reefs housing an abundance of beautiful tropical fish just a few dozen feet off shore.
And if what you see in the daylight is not enough, wait until you see the vividly beautiful sunsets visible right from your own veranda. You will find yourself sitting on the lounges of the veranda relaxing under the twinkling of more stars than you ever thought possible, and listening to the light sounds of the Caribbean Sea ripple against the reefs slightly off shore. The night air may also carry a light sound of live Reggae music from White River Reggae Park which is not far away.
We can also arrange for you to have a cook at your disposal for one or more meals (or all) for truly extraordinary Jamaican specialties. Or if you prefer, you can take advantage of the full kitchen, or dine out at any of the many exceptional restaurants within walking distance. We can also arrange to have our manager stock the refrigerator and kitchen with some basics for your arrival. You tell us what you want available when you get there, it is purchased for you in advance, and you simply reimburse our manager for the costs shown on the receipt.
Snorkeling can be arranged without leaving the property, and trips to Dunns River Falls, Fern Gully, Shaw Park Gardens and many other beautiful tours and sight-seeing trips can be arranged without leaving your 'home'. The condo complex is completely secure and patrolled by expert personnel to enable you to leave your worries at home while completely enjoying your stay and relaxing to the fullest.
To make your stay more interesting, we have made arrangements with a few local restaurants and service companies to enable us to provide discount coupons to you for their fine establishments. We have been visitors to Ocho Rios for many years before finally purchasing property, and we know the good and bad places on a very current basis. We selected certain establishments to include in our marketing program where they agreed to allow a certain percentage off of their bill to you when you patronize them. You and they are the winners of this effort as you can sample the best of Ocho Rios at discounted costs, and they receive increased business and word-of-mouth advertising.
In addition, we can assist you in making arrangements in advance for any type of local tour or excursion you want to do. Assistance in Craft Market shopping (In Jamaica, it is called 'higglin') or anything else you want is available to get the most and best out of your visit by doing things the way 'locals' do. It is well known that tourists in Jamaica pay more for the same things than Jamaicans. Let our local friends help you save money, or you can buy more for the same amount.
